The Palm Creek Folk Festival. Is an annual event, held over the Queens Birthday weekend each year in June, in the lush tropical grounds of the Mountain View Lake Eco Park. The event takes place over four days and three nights involving more than 100 performers and events with concerts, dances, workshops, acoustic jams, youth festival, art and craft workshops, late night cabarets and special events. The Festival features the cream of local performers and a smattering of special guests

Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week Sailor, spectator or passerby, Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week is sure to leave a lasting impression this September! You won't want to miss the Race Week Street Party with live music, kid’s entertainment, scrumptious food and a chance to mingle with the competitors and much, much more. Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week has something on offer for the whole family, whether it’s watching the racing from the beautiful beaches or enjoying the atmosphere of the island.

Magnetic Island is the place to be over the first weekend in September with something happening all over the island every day during Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week. Children are welcome to join the festivities of the Sunferries Magnetic Island Street Festival on Sunday 4 September.

Stable on the Strand. Is a free five day Christmas festival presented by the Combined Churches of Townsville that is strongly supported by the community, involving up to 900 volunteers and over 100 churches, and supported by over 60 businesses. The event commenced in 1999 and has grown to attract up to 40,000 visitors. The event focuses on the recreation of the historical Town of Bethlehem and the nativity scene, using live actors, colourful sets, animals and many interactive activities.

The event also provides quality entertainment that showcases local talent including an amphitheatre play and stage entertainment. A large amount of children's and youth activities are provided each year. Visitors can enjoy a meal or help themselves to free tea, coffee and Christmas cake, while enjoying the vibrant festival atmosphere and live entertainment. Or ride the Ferris Wheel which is free for all to enjoy during the event
